One Blank Channel (OBC) was created August 2011 to provide high quality music for Film and TV, an idea conceived by composer, songwriter/arranger and film-lover James Pickering,

James describes OBC as having an '...indie-film heart driven by the grandness of a Hollywood blockbuster. One half with its hand in the bucket of mix tapes while the other finds itself conducting a one hundred piece orchestra.'

While carrying on with the more commercial aspect of his work James also continues with his own messed-up, personal compositions. These are his sanity projects. You can find these, as well as past ventures, amongst the pages of this site. He is currently finishing a piece for Piano, String Quartet, and Samples, to be performed throughout April 2012 at the Church of St. Bartholomew the Great, London.
